Summer 2016

Greetings from Cholula, Puebla and Mosaico Comunidad Cristiana. Summer is such a special time. School gets out, vacation time for some, it seems like a lot more activity happens in the summertime. We want to give you a quick update on what is happening. Here in Cholula it is rainy season, which means it rains nearly every afternoon or evening. Sometimes it rains a little, sometimes it rains a lot. Well in the midst of the rain, God has been reigning here too. (Do you see what I did there?) In May and June we saw an increase in our Sunday attendance at Mosaico. And we celebrated 5 baptisms in June. Fernanda, Reyna, Rodrigo, Paola, and our Lizzet began their new life in Christ. It brings to mind the song I’ve heard recently, “God is on the move, on the move in many mighty ways.” Pretty awesome, right? And there’s more to come!

Pao gave her life to Christ! Woooo hooo!Mom and Dad had the honor of baptizing Lizzet.

Fernanda, Reyna and Rodrigo's baptism.July 9-16 a group from First Christian Church of Morris, IL came alongside our ministry here in Cholula and made an incredible impact in the life and ministry of Mosaico Comunidad Cristiana. They were not only a blessing to Mosaico by their service projects, sharing of their lives and testimony, they also blessed the ministry of CMF’s Globalscope ministry, El Pozo. Together we delivered 5 water filers and shared Christ’s love to the community of San Nicolas de los Ranchos in the state of Puebla. We also served food and gave lots of hugs at a food truck for the elderly and gave Puebla Christian School a new paint job. They were an awesome group!

We would like to ask you also to pray about some outreach activities and events that we have coming up.

VBS at Mosaico and in a village in the state of Puebla called Jesus Nazareno. August 9-11 will be at Mosaico and in Jesus Nazareno August 15-17. Join us in praying that many children and their families will see who Jesus is and come to know him as we reach out in our own community of Choloula and reach out a little further in the Jesus Nazareno community.

Also pray for several friends of Mosaico who are seeking Christ and a relationship with him. As Colossians 4:2-3 says, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…”

Thanks so much for walking with us on this journey. We are thankful for your prayers and interest.
